The BIOPAMA Action Component is a grant-making facility that will fund small and medium grants for targeted actions, by enabling protected area agencies, NGOs, local communities and other key conservation stakeholders to effectively address identified priorities for actions in Africa, the Caribbean and the Pacific.
Your application for funding must be a response to one of the BIOPAMA Action Component calls for proposals. To access the portal’s application function, you must firstly create a user account by clicking the “Create an account” button. Only applications submitted through this portal will be accepted.
The two working languages for the BIOPAMA Action Component are English and French. These languages can be used to create your user account on the BIOPAMA Action Component portal (hereafter “the portal”), to respond to a call for proposals, or to contact the Action Component team.
The BIOPAMA funding alerts will provide subscribers with alerts about upcoming calls for proposals and first-hand information that can help you prepare in the best possible way to respond to the calls with your proposal. Subscribe to the BIOPAMA funding alerts here.
The BIOPAMA Action component portal is design to allow easy access from anywhere in the world and will implement solutions to accommodate its use from areas with low bandwidth.
The BIOPAMA Action Component Secretariat has put in place an ESMS Grievance Mechanism. The purpose of the mechanism is to allow communities, project stakeholders or affected groups who believe that they may be negatively affected by the executing entity’s failure to respect IUCN’s environmental and social principles, standards, or procedures to raise a complaint to IUCN BIOPAMA AC Secretariat. The ESMS Grievance Mechanism and the respective complaint procedure are described on IUCN’s public website at http://www.iucn.org/esms and BIOPAMA AC portal.
